Philadelphia to Santiago

First, thank you for stopping by! I’m happy you’ve decided to learn a little about me. My name is Emily Ballantyne and I will be going abroad from mid-September through mid-March, and will be living in Santiago, Chile. I will be assisting in the Computational Biomechanics and Biophysics Lab at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile for my second co-op. For those of you not familiar with co-op, it’s a set of three, 6-months each, full-time work experiences interspersed throughout my five year undergraduate career.

This space will serve as a way for me to express and document my life in Chile. Blog posts can be found below, and along the top of the page you’ll find links that explain why I’m here, who I am, what kind of work I’ll be doing, how I organized my trip, and pictures.
